52Quilters Instagram Takeover - Quilty Fun & Prizes Galore!


Hi quilty friends! It's Mona here.
I'm excited to share with you that I'm taking over the 52Quilters instagram this week!

What does that mean?? Well,  52Quilters is "A social experiment in quilty communication and collaboration. Discover a virtual patchwork of quilters throughout the year: each week a new quilter will take over ... instagram. The goal of this project is to document the collective crafted life of quilters." That means that I will be sharing about me and my quilty world this week!

I have lined up some awesome sponsors for some giveaways. As of writing this post, I have prizes from Aurifil, Quilters Dream Batting, Gingiber, Quilt101, The Quilted Peacock, Beautifully Mended Fabric, and Karie Jewell!! Also, I am going to include $50 toward longarm services from yours truly as one of the prizes! (And there may be more throughout the week!)

How do you win? Well - the majority of it is going to be announced and taking place on the 52Quilters instagram page or on my instagram page. I know that not everyone is on instagram, so I will have one winner chosen from comments on this blog post!

    I quilt but recently started working on Some EPP. I have been enjoying stepping away from my machine and doing some hand stitching.

    I have been sewing a majority of my life. Quilting has been my passion the last 10 or so years. Before that I made lots of garments.

    Hi Mona, Thank you for spearheading the 52 Quilters posts I’m sure that consumes a lot of your time. This is so generous and I’m looking forward to discovering many creative folks.
    My crafting involves mostly quilting and garments sewing. I volunteer at our local Veterans Medical Center snd there’s always a need to repair clothes or stitch up some boxer shorts(I’m almost to 1,000 pairs)

    I love to quilt!! But i also love to crochet!! I've also cross stiched stitched but i love quilting the most!! Since our house fire in March ive got alot to do!!! We need quilts on our beds before winter!!!!

    I am part of a small group of ladies learning to quilt and love it! I'm working on more accuracy in my purging and I've done a little free motion quilting. My dream is to get my own longarm at some point!
