It's Mona here. I don't know about you, but this crazy year has completely caught me off guard - still! I've been trying to avoid all of the negativity by opening my retail site, Bluegrass Stitches, staying active on Instagram, and petting all of the fabric I can get my hands on! (Plus, I am offering the Nebula Block of the Month Quilt using Tula Pink's fabric - sign up now!)
Another thing that brings me pleasure is being able to participate in fun sew-alongs! Patterns by Jen is spreading some gorgeous color throughout the world by hosting the 2020 Monthly Color Challenge. I have the privilege of sharing my block with you this month!
This year's color inspiration is bird's and the August bird is the flamingo (pink). You can get the pattern and all the other info on Jen's blog.

Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.I've decided to use Tula Pink Fairy Dust for my background fabric. I used Tula Pink's Cosmo Designer Essential Solids for Free Spirit.
This block uses strip piecing, which is something that I love!
Jen's instructions are always so easy to follow!
